During the process of our product development this week, some of us went to conduct several more interviews with existing students in China. Specifically we targeted existing students in the 4 of our initial test colleges. Here are the empathy maps we developed following our interviews from previous 2 weeks and the additional students we interviewed this week.
We split the empathy maps into 2, one for the typical china college student trying to find an event, the other for the typical china college student trying to organize an event:
Mapping out the empathy map gave us a greater sense of how we should shape our product ahead of the upcoming submission. Specifically, we see the need to enhance the following:
1) The need for a user/organizer events management page – to help in the recording and organization of events to do away with all the manual recording of events.
2) Addition of a user feedback portal – to allow users to feedback to the event hosts their feelings about the event
3) Addition of a comment or chat portal – to allow users to share with each other their views on the upcoming event
